E. Pierce Marshall, Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Élevage Capital Management, LLC. Élevage Capital is an investment management company focused on a number of areas including municipal bond strategies, venture capital and private equity funds as well as real estate. Mr. Marshall is a licensed attorney and also serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Trof, Inc., a Marshall family holding company with offices in Dallas and Houston, Texas.

Mr. Marshall is a graduate of the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, securing a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Marshall graduated with a J.D. from the Yale Law School.

He was formerly as associate general counsel of Contran Corporation, a family holding company controlled by Harold C. Simmons, based in Dallas, Texas. At Contran he provided legal guidance and management for three of its publicly-held company’s engaged in a variety of industries, such as industrial and agricultural steel wire products manufacturing; security component, furniture component and marine component manufacturing; and operation of a hazardous and low level radioactive waste treatment and disposal facility. He was the acting general counsel of Kitty Hawk, Inc. and an associate in the Corporate Securities Section of Thompson & Knight, LLP in Dallas, Texas, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions. Pierce is also the former president of the Dallas Chapter of the Federalist Society, Lawyers Division and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Greenhill School and the Marshall Heritage Foundation.
